Amity Institute of Pharmacy organized guest lecture on “Recent Advances in the quality control of Herbal Drugs”on 17^th August 2021

The main objective of the guest lecture was to make students (B.Pharm/Ph.D.) learn about the various techniques, tools, methods  required for herbal drug quality control.

Dr. Rajesh Kumar Verma, Prinicpal Scientist, Dabur India Limited, gave a talk on topic ‘Recent Advances in the quality control of Herbal Drugs’ where he touched upon the basics of herbal drug discovery and its quality control aspects, various industrial instruments such as HPLC, GC-MS, ICP-MS used for this purpose and the regulatory aspects for herbal drug standardization. He emphasized upon the various statutory requirements and market expectation for a herbal drug development and what are the constraints involved in the herbal drug development.  

Total 87 students and 8 faculties attended the session.
