On 17th September 2025, the Health Department, Gurugram, in collaboration with the Amity Institute of Clinical Psychology (AICP), Amity University Haryana, organized a one-day Suicide Awareness and Screening Programme at Polyclinic.
The event was graced by Shri Rao Inderjit, Member of Parliament, and MLA Shri Mukesh Sharma as Chief Guests, along with the participation of Dr. Alka, Civil Surgeon, Gurugram. M.Phil. trainees (2024–26) from AICP, under the guidance of Dr. Kirmani and Ms. Sukirti Ahuja, actively engaged in the program through awareness activities, blood donation, and community sensitization sessions. The program was organized under the theme Swasth Naari Sashakt Parivaar Abhiyaan, with the aim of spreading awareness on suicide prevention and promoting community mental health.
The trainees from AICP contributed significantly by conducting health screenings, sensitizing the public with simple grounding techniques, and participating in a blood donation camp. Their efforts, guided by Dr. Kirmani, Ms. Sukirti, Dr. Ajay, and Mr. Sachin, were highly appreciated and served as a strong example of academic collaboration with community welfare.
