The event marked the proud launch of the Public Speaking Club on October 13, 2025. To celebrate the event a workshop titled "Ace the Talk" was conducted by Mr. Akshay Yande, Lead - Learning Strategy, British Petroleum, and former Toast Master, who provided practical insights on confident communication and impactful public speaking.
The workshop began with an interactive introduction activity that allowed participants to overcome initial hesitation and connect with their peers. This was followed by structured exercises such as impromptu speaking rounds, one-minute speech challenges, and group discussions that simulated real-world speaking scenarios. Each activity encouraged critical thinking, spontaneity, and audience engagement.
Expert mentors from the Public Speaking Club guided participants through practical tips on voice modulation, content structuring, and managing stage presence. Constructive feedback was provided after each round, enabling participants to refine their speaking style and overcome common communication barriers.
The session concluded with an open mic segment, where participants showcased their improved confidence and learning outcomes. The workshop received enthusiastic participation and positive feedback from students, reaffirming the importance of such practice-based training sessions in developing effective public speakers.
The ceremony included the official nomination and badging of the Student President (Ms. Gauri Singh, MBA 2025) and Vice President (Mr. Gauransh Bhatnagar, BBA 2024) by the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. Amit Jain, and Mr. Yande. The initiative aims to nurture articulate, confident, and industry-ready leaders.
