Faculty Development Program on “Teaching, Learning, Research with AI in Language Studies”

Amity School of Languages, Amity University Rajasthan (AUR), in collaboration with the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), successfully organized a five-day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) from 11 to 15 May 2026. Conducted in hybrid mode, the programme focused on “Teaching, Learning and Research with AI in Language Studies.”

The event featured eight resource persons of national repute, including Vice-Chancellor of AUR, Prof. Amit Jain; Prof. K. Srinivas, NIEPA, New Delhi; Prof. Arunkumar Santhalingam, AIFPRO, Puducherry; Prof. Dipa Chakrabarti, Head, Amity School of Languages; Dr. Janashruti Chandra JNU, New Delhi; Prof. Sanjay K. Sharma, JECRC University, Jaipur; Prof Sudha Rai, Retd, Dean Faculty of Arts, University of Rajasthan; and Prof. Vinay Sharma, Dean Research, AUR.

Prof. Dipa Chakrabarti, Head, Amity School of Languages, Convenor of the FDP, highlighted the transformative role of AI in language pedagogy and research. Mr. Akshat Shrivastava, Nodal Officer, AIU, elaborated on AIU’s contributions to higher education. Around 200 (online/offline) participants from across India attended the FDP, making it a significant academic exchange. The programme successfully bridged recent technological advancements, Use of AI, with language studies, fostering collaborative learning and innovation. The event was coordinated by Prof Parul Mishra, and Dr Gunja Patni, Assistant Professor, ASL.
