A research scholar in Amity Institute of Information Technology (AIIT), Shaurya Gupta, has recently completed a project based on ‘Applying Tiers in Multi Cloud Database environment’ under the supervision of Dr. Ramesh C. Poonia, Associate Professor, Amity University, Rajasthan.
The project was funded by Department of Science & Technology (DST), Rajasthan, under its Student Project Programme - 2017-18. There are three security factors that will be examined in the proposed model, namely Data Integrity, Data Intrusion and Service Availability.
A multi-cloud environment is one that controls several clouds and avoids dependency on any one individual cloud. The need for Data outsourcing or database as a service (DaaS) is vital for any organization. In addition, data storage or data retrieval is an expensive proposition, particularly for small companies. This dissertation (project) aims to study various challenges in the field of cloud computing communication.
The proposed work on multi-tiering a cloud emphasizes security enhancement due to application of tiers in the cloud so that services availability is also improved. Cloud computing is a recent network trend for advanced communication systems.
A lot of research has been done that led to the advancement in the areas of newer modes, but multi-tiering a cloud is still a niche research area that requires exploration.
