Formula Student Race-car by a team of students in Department of Mechanical Engineering in Amity School of Engineering & Technology (ASET)
A team of students comprising Mr. Rajvinder Khalsa, Mr. P.V.S. Sai Kiran, Mr. Dushyant Sarvaiya, Mr. Om Samani, Mr. Safal Panchal, Mr. Akash Sharma Mr. Navdeep Vaishnav B.Tech (MAE) (2012-16, 2013-17 & 2014-18 batches) from Department of Mechanical Engineering in Amity School of Engineering & Technology (ASET) created a racing car. This project describes the work associated with the design, build and test of a Formula Student Racing Car (FSRC) in order to compete at Formula Student Competition at national level, according to regulations of Formula Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE). The design of FSRC involves the study of material structure, aerodynamics, suspension dynamics, internal combustion engine, selection of materials and the requirements for manufacturing. The challenge for the team was to develop a vehicle that can successfully compete in all the events (static and dynamic) as per the norms laid down by SAE. This project is considered as an educational, practical, and training exercise on mechanical engineering principles for the undergraduate students. This engineering project also entail acquiring design concepts in automotive, mechanical engineering skills and the freedom to express creativity and innovation. It provided hands-on experience to budding engineers.
