3-D Printer by a team of B. Tech. (CSE) students in Amity School of Engineering & Technology (ASET)

Smit Kabrawala, Apoorv Verma, Shrulabh Gupta from B. Tech. (CSE) Batch 2013-2017 and Shikhar Johri from B. Tech. (CSE) Batch 2016-2020 created a 3D printer. This machine produces a tangible 3D object via additive manufacturing through digital 3D model as an input. 3-D printing refers to any manufacturing process which builds or forms 3-D parts in layers from CAD data. This niche technology is significant because it offers direct manufacturing, i.e. a design goes directly as an input to create a physical product through a computer and a printer. 3-D Printing is used in both rapid prototyping and additive manufacturing. The low-cost 3D printer is prepared by ASET students using Stepper Motors and hot end electrode controls using Raspberry Pi.
