An Introduction to Maharashtra Stepwells Foundation Campaign to Preserve Stepwells

On March 16, 2026, Amity School of Architecture and Planning (ASAP) proudly signed an MoU with the Maharashtra Stepwells Foundation Campaign and hosted an inspiring expert lecture by Founder Shri Rohan Kale at our Seminar Hall, City Campus.
Titled "An Introduction to Maharashtra Stepwells Foundation Campaign to Preserve Stepwells," the session offered deep insights into the historical, architectural, and environmental significance of Maharashtra's ancient stepwells. Shri Kale shared his remarkable journey through the Maharashtra Barav Mohim, mapping and restoring over 1,800 neglected structures—transforming them into vibrant community spaces
This partnership empowers ASAP students to actively participate in documentation, preservation initiatives, and sustainable water management, fostering hands-on learning in heritage conservation.
