Amity Institute of Biotechnology organized a workshop on Advanced Computer-Aided Drug Design and Computational Biology using Schrodinger Software on 21st and 22nd May 2019 at Amity University Gurugram campus.
The workshop was designed to provide the theoretical background as well as a hands-on approach to Molecular Docking, Virtual screening, Protein Modeling and simulation using Schrodinger Biologics Suite. The workshop also covered the use of different softwares and will focus on Chem-informatics methods for lead identification and optimization.
Dr Prajwal Nandekar, Application Scientist specialist in drug design, quantum chemistry and Mr Vinod Devaraji, Application Scientist specialized in Computer aided drug discovery, DNA intercalation were the speakers.

It offers smallmolecule drug discovery, biologics, materials science, and discovery informatics solutions; and PyMOL, a 3D molecular visualization solution. Schrodinger Biologics Suite is a defacto standard software suite for performing the computational tasks of a drug discovery life cycle i.e., target discovery, lead discovery, lead optimization and QSAR and ADMET analysis. It should be considered as a privilege to have a such a comprehensive computational biology software suite at AIB, AUH.
