World Suicide Prevention Day

An impactful awareness programme was organized on 10th September 2025 to mark World Suicide Prevention Day at Amity University Haryana. Organized by the Counseling and Guidance Cell under the Amity Institute of Behavioural and Allied Sciences (AIBAS) in collaboration with the Amity Institute of Clinical Psychology (AICP), the programme featured a variety of engaging activities such as a procession, Nukkad Natak, the play “FARQ” performed by Team Rangmanch, an open mic session, and a theatrical awareness act.

The primary aim of the programme was to raise awareness about suicide prevention, reduce stigma surrounding mental health concerns, and encourage open conversations on psychological well-being. By highlighting the significance of early identification of warning signs, the event sought to inspire students to become active change-makers in promoting mental health awareness and creating safe, supportive environments for their peers.

The talks, addresses, and performances underscored the importance of community involvement, empathy, and institutional support in addressing mental health challenges. Overall, the event left a lasting impression by motivating students to contribute actively toward fostering a culture of openness, resilience, and support within the university community and beyond.
