Department of Medical Lab Technology, Amity Medical School organized an online lecture on Overview on Coagulation tests in Laboratory on 25th May 2020.
Dr. Saritha Kamath, PhD, HOD, Dept of MLT Manipal University is a well-known Lab Medicine expert. The topic of the lecture was “Overview on Coagulation tests in Laboratory””. She delivered her lecture on different methods of coagulation estimation and related diseases and further research possibilities.
The main objective of the event was to create an open platform to prepare each of the participants to update themselves about coagulation estimation and related diseases and create future research possibilities in concern of clinical hematology with reference to coagulation and related disorders. She explained in detail about PT, APTT, TT, and other coagulation test principles, procedures, and clinical significance.
The lecture was very knowledgeable to the students and faculties. Participants also get knowledge of automation in coagulation and their working principles. Along with the coagulation test, they also got the knowledge of Thalassemia and its related test.
