A Workshop by ASFDT on April 12th, 2024
Amity School of Fashion Design & Technology hosted a workshop on April 12th, 2024, centred around textile testing. Through hands-on experience with tools like GSM Cutter, weighing balance, Beasley Balance, and Snap pull tester, students gained practical knowledge on conducting various tests crucial in the fashion industry.
The workshop provided students with valuable insights into textile testing procedures, including snap pull testing and basic fabric testing techniques like GSM and EPI calculation. By learning these essential skills, students enhance their understanding of textile industry standards and practices, equipping them for real-world challenges.
In conclusion, the workshop offered students a comprehensive understanding of textile testing methodologies and their significance in the fashion industry. By gaining practical experience with testing equipment and learning fundamental testing procedures, students are better prepared for careers in textile engineering and fashion design.
