A workshop on “Hands-Only CPR” was organised by ACON on 7th April 2026. The session aimed to integrate expert insights from distinguished speakers, including Mr. Sanjeev, Dr. Om Prakash, Medical Officer at Civil Hospital, and Ms. Vatchala, Deputy Secretary, TNAI, thereby strengthening both theoretical understanding and practical competence.
The workshop aimed to promote awareness about the critical importance of immediate response during cardiac emergencies and to equip students and healthcare professionals with essential life-saving skills in Hands-Only CPR. It sought to provide practical, hands-on training aligned with standard guidelines, enhance participants’ ability to recognize and respond effectively to sudden cardiac arrest, and foster confidence, preparedness, and a sense of community responsibility in accordance with the spirit of World Health Day.

Under the expert guidance of Mr. Sanjeev and the valuable insights shared by Dr. Om Prakash and Ms. Vatchala, participants gained a comprehensive understanding of CPR techniques, emergency response protocols, and the significance of timely intervention in saving lives. The hands-on training sessions enhanced participants’ confidence and competence, enabling them to respond effectively in real-life emergency situations. Overall, the workshop not only reinforced the crucial role of healthcare professionals in promoting community health and safety but also instilled a proactive approach towards emergency preparedness, aligning meaningfully with the objectives of World Health Day.
