Amity School of Language organised Faculty Development Program on Tecnologías para la enseñanza/ aprendizaje del Español como Lengua Extranjera held on 21st June 2023
Amity School of Language organized a Faculty Development Program on "Tecnologías para la enseñanza/aprendizaje del Español como Lengua Extranjera" on 21st June 2023. The primary objective of the event was to create awareness about cultural exposure between India and Colombia. This academic exchange between Amity University Haryana (AUH) and UNAD will facilitate the exchange of knowledge and experiences among faculty and students.
The session featured a detailed presentation by Prof. Adolfo Leon, Director of the Language Department and Professor of Foreign Language at UNAD in Bogota, Colombia. Prof. Leon focused on the effective use of technology in Spanish classrooms and shared insights about UNAD's Spanish MOOC courses. This presentation provided valuable information and ideas for incorporating technology into the teaching and learning of Spanish as a foreign language.
The session was attended by a total of 5 faculty members, who actively participated and benefited from the knowledge shared by Prof. Leon. This program served as a platform to foster collaboration and academic exchange, strengthening the bonds between AUH and UNAD while promoting cross-cultural understanding and enhancing language education.
Overall, the Faculty Development Program aimed to empower faculty members with innovative teaching methodologies and technological tools to enhance the teaching and learning experience in the field of Spanish language education. It emphasized the importance of cultural exchange and highlighted the potential for mutual learning and growth between India and Colombia.
