 Corporate Resource Centre of Amity University Gurugram organized an Industrial visit to National Brain Research Centre, Manesar Haryana for the students of Amity Institute of Behavioral and Allied Sciences on 17^th August, 2023. The program comprised of visits to the MRI Laboratory, Virology Laboratory and the Brain Laboratory at NBRC.

The primary intent was to provide a hands on experience to the students about brain imaging methods used in scientific research and gain some practical knowledge of complex concepts. The professionals at NBRC demonstrated knowledge about the structure and working of MRI machines, process of studying different viruses like HIV and Zika virus at the laboratory and various methods of testing such as PCR and ELISA test. Moreover, the students visited the Bird Brain Lab Centre where they observed the brains of different birds, including that of a crow. Additionally, the scholars at the institute gave an insight about Zebra finch, a native bird of Australia, and its unique singing abilities studied through various researches. A total of 42 students and 2 faculty members participated in the event.

In conclusion, the visit to NBRC gave the students an exposure to learn about advance neuroscience research, observed live demonstrations, and engaged in interactive sessions which inspired many to pursue further studies and research in the field of neuroscience. It also allowed them to connect with the professionals working in this field, which would benefit the students in their future training and placements.
