Amity School of Earth & Environmental Sciences (ASEES) hosted a captivating Biodiversity Photography Carnival during Amifest 2024 on February 27th, 2024. The event, held at the A Block Main Entry area of Amity University Haryana, aimed to celebrate the richness of biodiversity through the lens of photography. With the participation of five enthusiastic students, the carnival provided a platform for students to showcase their photography skills while highlighting the beauty of nature.Under the guidance of esteemed faculty members including Prof. Dr. I.S. Thakur, Dr. Puja Singh, Dr. Shaili Srivastava, Dr. Aakriti Verma, Dr. Amir, and Dr. Sahil, the event encouraged students to capture moments that celebrate life and showcase the importance of preserving our natural heritage.
By focusing on biodiversity hotspots and campus greenery, participants were able to explore and appreciate the diverse ecosystems within their surroundings, fostering a deeper connection with nature.The event not only promoted environmental awareness but also served as a platform for educational outreach, emphasizing the role of photography in conservation efforts. Through captivating images and geotagged photographs, participants highlighted the need to protect and preserve biodiversity for future generations. Amity University Haryana remains committed to nurturing a culture of environmental stewardship and creative expression among its students.
