Francophonie Day was celebrated by the Amity School of Languages (ASL), Amity University Haryana, on 25 March 2026 at the B-Block Auditorium. The event marked the celebration of Francophonie Week and aimed to promote the richness of the French language and Francophone cultures through a blend of academic, literary, and cultural activities. It provided students with an engaging platform to explore global cultural diversity and enhance their linguistic skills beyond the classroom.
The primary aim of the event was to encourage students to actively engage with the French language and develop a deeper appreciation for Francophone cultures. It also sought to enhance communication skills, cultural awareness, and creative expression through interactive activities such as presentations, performances, competitions, and experiential learning initiatives.
The celebration included a keynote address by Prof. Udaya Narayana Singh, student presentations, poetry recitations, a skit, and various competitions such as Spell Bee, quiz, and tongue twisters. Students also showcased Francophone cuisine and artwork, followed by a film screening that enriched their cultural exposure. Overall, the event successfully enhanced students’ linguistic proficiency, creativity, confidence, and global cultural understanding, making it a vibrant and enriching experience.
