Expert Talk on “The Role of Mascot Design of Company Branding in India” by ASFA
An expert talk on “The Role of Mascot Design of Company Branding in India” was organized by the Amity School of Fine Arts (ASFA), Amity University Haryana, on 27 March 2026. The session was delivered by Sonia Kashyap Mallik, a noted designer and researcher from Chandigarh, and focused on the strategic role of mascot design in branding. It provided students with valuable insights into how visual elements contribute to brand identity and consumer engagement.
The primary aim of the session was to help students understand branding as a strategic process rather than just visual design. It sought to bridge the gap between creative design and business thinking by integrating concepts of marketing, consumer psychology, and brand positioning, while also encouraging students to develop research-driven and purpose-oriented design approaches.
The session included an interactive presentation and discussion where the speaker shared practical insights into mascot design and its impact on brand communication. Students actively participated and engaged with the expert, enhancing their understanding of creative strategy and branding concepts. Overall, the session enriched students’ creative skills, critical thinking, and aesthetic understanding, making it an engaging and insightful learning experience.
