Field Trip to the Bangladesh High Commission

The Amity Centre for BRICS Studies, in collaboration with the Bangladesh High Commission, New Delhi, organized an educational field visit on 06 April 2026 for students of the Amity School of Liberal Arts and Foreign Languages. The visit was conceptualized as part of a University Outreach Program to provide students with experiential exposure to the functioning of diplomatic institutions and the dynamics of international relations.

The event offered participants a unique opportunity to engage with real-world diplomacy beyond theoretical frameworks. Students were introduced to the role and structure of the Bangladesh High Commission, its diplomatic functions, and its contribution to fostering bilateral relations between India and Bangladesh. The interaction highlighted key aspects of diplomatic engagement, including cultural diplomacy, policy dialogue, and people-to-people connections, thereby bridging academic learning with practical insights.

Aligned with the theme “Diplomatic Engagement, Live Diplomacy & People-to-People Connect,” the visit emphasized the significance of international cooperation, mutual understanding, and strategic partnerships in today’s globalized world. It also reinforced the importance of diplomacy as a tool for peace-building, strengthening institutional relationships, and promoting cross-cultural exchange.
