A Webinar on “Couple Dynamics and Therapeutic Intervention: Evidence-Based Approaches in Marital Therapy” by AICP on 29th April 2026. The aim of the workshop was to develop an understanding of core couple dynamics and interaction patterns in intimate relationships. It sought to help participants identify common dysfunctional patterns such as communication breakdown, conflict escalation, and emotional disengagement.
The session aimed to explore the role of attachment, cognition, and emotional regulation in shaping couple relationships. It also intended to introduce evidence-based approaches in marital therapy, including behavioral, cognitive, and systemic interventions. Furthermore, the workshop aimed to equip participants with practical techniques for improving communication, conflict resolution, and emotional intimacy among couples, while enhancing the clinical skills of students, trainees, and professionals in assessing and addressing relationship difficulties.
The workshop concluded successfully with an insightful and informative session delivered by Dr. Tanya Tripathi, a licensed clinical psychologist and experienced couple therapist. Drawing upon her extensive clinical expertise in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based interventions, she provided participants with a comprehensive understanding of couple dynamics, relationship challenges, and evidence-based therapeutic approaches. The session enhanced participants’ knowledge of communication patterns, conflict resolution strategies, emotional regulation, and intimacy-building techniques in couple relationships. Dr. Tripathi’s practical insights, clinical experiences, and research-based perspectives enriched the learning experience and strengthened the participants’ clinical competencies in assessing and addressing relationship difficulties.
