Amity University Mumbai Organizes Field Work Project At Karnala Bird Sanctuary

 A half day weekend trek was organized by Amity Institute of Travel and Tourism, Amity University, Mumbai to Karnala Bird Sanctuary on 22nd May 2022, Sunday on the occasion of Biodiversity Day. The trip was managed by Amity Institute of Travel and Tourism (AITT-AUM).

 
A total of 25 students were part of this trek and were accompanied by 4 faculty members. Students spotted variety of birds during trek to Karnala Fort. This trek helped students to build their core, level of endurance and improved overall strength. A clean-up campaign was undertaken at the fort as a part of responsible tourism. They got in-depth knowledge about the do’s and don’ts required to travel into wilderness. Overall, it was a great learning experience for all the students in areas of adventure travel, tangible and intangible heritage of India, handling of a group trek, utilization of natural resources and conserving them.
 
The outcome of this trek was that students learned real life experience i.e., to conserve nature for the sustainable tomorrow, the natural environment helped students overcome various obstacles through their own devise which turned out to be a great boost to their self-confidence.
