Amity Institute of Biotechnology organized a Guest Lecture on “Translational Research in Medical Informatics” at Amity University Gurugram. The lecture was delivered by Dr. Deepak Sharma (Assist.  Professor , IIT Roorkee) and was attended by faculty members & students from AIB. 

During the lecture, Dr Sharma discussed about Data Science and its implications in development of bio-apps for Google Apps to serve the people in remote areas of India. His research group has recently developed a mobile app “Dhadkan” available on Google Play that enables remote monitoring and medical help to patients whose parameters indicate imminent heart failure.
