A Guest Lecture by Department of Dietetic and Applied Nutrition (AMS) on July 29, 2024
Department of Dietetics & Applied Nutrition (AMS) organised a guest lecture on Inculcating Healthy Food Habits Among College Students, on July 29, 2024. The lecture aimed to empower students to manage their weight effectively and reduce the risk of diet-related diseases.
The aim of the guest lecture was to educate college students on the importance of healthy eating habits and the role of a balanced diet in maintaining overall well-being. The event sought to inspire students to make informed food choices, adopt a healthy plating system, and understand the significance of macro and micronutrients in their diet.
The guest lecture successfully achieved its goal of raising awareness among students about the critical importance of healthy eating habits. The lecture emphasized that food is not just a means to satisfy hunger but a crucial factor in achieving and maintaining good health. Students left the event with valuable knowledge and a renewed commitment to adopting healthier lifestyle choices, which will contribute to their long-term well-being.
